Mission
ROLE:
The Chief Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of transactions and compliance with the division's corporate standards and procedures. They are also responsible for preparing monthly financial reports, analyzing financial data, and acting as a resource person for division members.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Month-end journal entries and analyses
• Preparation and analysis of financial statements
• Preparation of various month-end reports
• Review and analysis of expense invoices
• Review and analysis of monthly transactions
• Providing support to branches and management on all accounting-related matters
• Various ad hoc analyses
Your profile
REQUIRED PROFILE (SKILLS):
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a large company
• University degree in accounting – with CPA designation
• Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written)
• Excellent computer skills, advanced Excel required
• Proficiency in the accounting cycle
• Available to work overtime at the end of the month
• Meticulous, curious, resourceful, and autonomous
• Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Good team player
