I am currently recruiting for a public accounting firm located on the South Shore, with a team of about twenty professionals. They are looking for a Director of Assurance Services. This firm offers the flexibility of 100% remote work.

Your responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and oversee assurance engagements (audit, review, compilation) for privately owned SMEs across various industries.
- Review and sign off on assurance files, ensuring compliance with professional standards and agreed-upon deadlines.
- Manage corporate and personal tax mandates, including:
- Reviewing and supervising the preparation of T2 (corporate), T1 (personal), T3 (trusts), and T5013 (partnerships) tax returns.
- Supervise, train, and mentor a small team of professionals, fostering their development and ensuring an effective distribution of tasks.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, addressing their needs and advising them on financial, tax, and accounting matters.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with current assurance and audit standards (ASPE).
- Actively contribute to the strategic planning of the assurance department and the continuous improvement of processes.
- Support business development by strengthening existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities with prospects.
- Position yourself as a leader within the firm, with a clear path toward partnership in the short to medium term.

Your profile

- CPA designation
- Over 8 years of experience in a public accounting firm
- Strong expertise in compilation, review, and audit engagements
- Proficiency in written and spoken French
- Experience in team supervision
- Rigor and autonomy are required for this position
- A friendly, flexible, and structured mindset is essential
- Respect and a positive attitude are indispensable within the team
