You may request an advance on your worked hours, limited to once per month. This request must be made outside of payroll weeks by contacting your Fed consultant directly.

Just inform your Fed consultant! The entire process is outlined in your employment contract.

You may end your temporary assignment at any time, provided you comply with the terms and conditions outlined in your assignment contract (such as notice period, return of equipment, etc.).

Each week, you will be required to fill out a timesheet provided by your Fed consultant, confirming the actual hours you have worked during your assignment. These timesheets are necessary for processing your pay.

Your timesheets must be accurately completed, approved by the client company, and submitted to your Fed consultant by Friday evening each week, including for any periods of absence.

If you have any questions about your pay slip, contact your Fed consultant, who will be able to assist you.

Your pay slip reflects all the hours and days reported on your timesheets and approved by the client company.

On your pay slip, you will find:

Your base salary

Any bonuses provided for in your contract

Employee and employer contributions

Gross salary

Net salary, etc.

Your pay is based on the information provided in your timesheets and calculated according to the actual hours worked.

Payroll is processed every two weeks, and salaries are paid by direct deposit the following Friday.

Please make sure you have submitted your void cheque (specimen) to us.

There is no difference from a permanent employee — you have the same rights!

A temporary job is a position held for a fixed period, often under a fixed-term contract or through a staffing agency. This type of employment is generally used to:

Replace an absent employee (e.g. maternity leave, sick leave)

Manage a temporary increase in workload

Complete a specific project with a defined end date

Temporary workers are hired for a specific duration, and their contract ends either on the agreed-upon date or when the project is completed. They are entitled to the same rights as permanent employees under Québec’s labour standards legislation, including minimum wage, working hours, vacation, and workplace safety, as outlined in the Act Respecting Labour Standards (LNT).

A permanent job, or open-ended position, has no predetermined end date. The employee is hired on an indefinite basis and may remain in the role as long as the employer’s expectations are met and performance remains satisfactory. Permanent employees are also protected under Québec’s labour standards and may benefit from more advantageous working conditions over time, depending on their seniority and performance.

Absolutely. Many temporary assignments lead to permanent employment with the client. This is known as a “temp-to-perm” hire — a great stepping stone toward long-term employment.
