Hello, I'm Bianka, Senior Team Leader at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in accounting, finance, and payroll positions. I handle both temporary and permanent recruitment in the Greater Montreal area.

Mission

YOUR ROLE:
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for all financial activities and asset control. As a member of the management committee, you will contribute to the rigor and improvement of processes, as well as to the overall performance of the company.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise and develop the Finance department team (3 employees)
• Ensure compliance of the entire accounting cycle and the application of effective internal controls
• Responsible for the IT infrastructure and its proper functioning, and for the relationship with external consultants
• Responsible for asset protection, including cash management, accounts receivable, and inventory.
• Head of Payroll and Regulatory Remittances
• Responsible for the month-end closing process, including reconciliation, gross margin analysis, and budget tracking of expenses
• Develop and maintain financial analyses and reports to identify issues and support decision-making
• Responsible for relationships with government authorities (tax, occupational health and safety, and others), banking institutions, insurance programs, and external accountants
• Play a proactive role in fostering smooth and efficient communication between various departments (sales, operations, finance)

Your profile

YOUR PROFILE
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Accounting or Finance)
• Member of the professional order and holder of the CPA designation
• Three to seven (3 to 7) years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management in the distribution or manufacturing sector (SME)
• Excellent command of SAGE software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a definite asset
• Excellent command of French and functional proficiency in English
• Entrepreneurial spirit, autonomy, initiative, strong sense of priorities, and results-oriented
• Relevant experience in SMEs is an asset

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- More than 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including responsibility for financial closings and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS and Canadian GAAP, according to the company's accounting standards).
- Experience with audit and compliance processes, as well as managing external advisors.
- Rigorous, able to manage multiple priorities, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various departments within the company.

Assets
- CPA designation (or equivalent).
- Experience with or understanding of SaaS, technology, or high-growth environments.
- Experience with revenue recognition and subscription billing models.
- Knowledge of multi-entity and multi-currency reporting.
- Experience implementing or improving accounting systems and automation tools.
- Experience managing a team or an interest in developing and leading a growing accounting function. Key Skills
