Hello, I'm Bianka, Senior Team Leader at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in accounting, finance, and payroll positions. I handle both temporary and permanent recruitment in the Greater Montreal area.

Mission

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee operational accounting functions and ensure compliance with ASPE (Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises). The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, advanced system skills, and hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the food distribution industry is considered a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with ASPE.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Collaborate with operations and management to analyze costs, margins, and inventory.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Support ERP and accounting system integrations, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries and advanced Excel models to streamline reporting and analysis.
• Provide leadership, training, and guidance to accounting staff.

Your profile

Qualifications
• CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting certification (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and operational accounting practices.
• Experience in the food distribution industry is an asset.
• Proficiency with Sage 50 (Quantum or similar versions) is a strong asset.
• Advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, macros, complex formulas).
• Ability to manipulate SQL queries and work with relational databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French (written and verbal).
