Payroll technician
Introduction
I am looking for a payroll technician for my client, a company in the restaurant industry. This is a permanent hybrid position in Brossard.
Mission
Your role within the team
Under the supervision of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Technician is responsible for processing payroll for several establishments. This person validates and checks the time entered, prepares and verifies payroll transactions, and ensures compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, and labor agreements.

Your main challenges
- Process payroll for employees at various branches (more than 3,500 employees).
- Act as a resource person for employees and managers.
- Update personnel files (creations, modifications, and terminations).
- Ensure that processes and procedures comply with applicable laws.
- Provide administrative support to payroll clerks as needed.
- Perform accounting entries.
- Conduct source deduction (SD) audits.
- Participate in the year-end process.

You could share your valuable past experience with us, having worked for at least two years in a similar role.
If you know how to work with payroll software, that's great; if you are proficient in Nethris software, that's even better.

You are fluent in English.
Your DNA shows that you are thorough and detail-oriented.
Your knowledge:
2 to 3 years of experience in payroll processing;
Significant experience and knowledge of payroll-related laws (tax law, employment insurance, QPP, CPP, etc.);
Experience and knowledge of payroll outside Quebec—an asset;
Knowledge of Nethris and Employer D systems – a major asset;
Knowledge of payroll cycle concepts;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
