My name is Romane, and I am a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in finance positions. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent, on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates within your industry. We cover accounting, finance, and payroll roles.

I am looking for an assistant controller with experience in the real estate sector for my client. This is a permanent, on-site position in Boucherville.

Mission

• Accounting Role
o Perform bookkeeping and month-end closing (full cycle) for the main company and several related companies
o Produce monthly financial statements and analyze budget variances
o Produce various balance sheet and income statement analyses
o Prepare year-end files for external accountants
o Prepare budget forecasts for buildings
o Conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic decision-making

• Commercial and Residential Leases
o Update and maintain commercial leases and price lists for residential buildings
o Validate monthly invoicing
o Prepare the allocation of common expenses and process annual adjustment invoices
o Prepare summary operating expense tables
o Validate and track annual renewals for residential buildings

• Other Tasks
o Promote innovation and participate in continuous process improvement projects;

o Processing administrative payroll and submitting DAS forms
o Validating GST/QST returns

Your profile

The ideal candidate will be proactive, dynamic, rigorous, autonomous, resourceful, and a good team player;

The candidate must have excellent prioritization and organizational skills, and be versatile;

A bachelor's degree in accounting is required;

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is required;

Experience in the property management sector is essential;

Knowledge of Maestro and Hopem software is an asset;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required.

PROCESS: Initial interview with Romane Dumaine, Recruitment Advisor, followed by an interview with the Controller.
