PLC Programmer / Automation Technician

I’m currently working with a well-established industrial automation integrator that designs and delivers turnkey systems, including conveyors and custom production lines. Their projects span multiple industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.
Due to growth, they are looking for a PLC Programmer who can take ownership of projects from programming to commissioning, with hands-on involvement in the field.
Mission
Your Role: You will be involved throughout the full lifecycle of automation projects, working closely with mechanical and electrical engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and programming PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
Configuring HMIs and industrial communication networks
Performing factory testing (FAT), simulations, and validation
Troubleshooting and optimizing automation sequences
Commissioning systems on client sites
Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure system performance
Training operators and providing on-site technical support
This role combines office-based work with on-site interventions across Canada and the United States.
Your profile
Your Profile
Diploma in automation, electrical engineering, instrumentation, or related field
3–10 years of experience in PLC programming within industrial environments
Experience in system integration or custom projects (strong asset)
Solid understanding of mechanical systems and automated processes
Autonomous, detail-oriented, and analytical mindset
Strong communication skills and client-facing ability
Fluent in French, working proficiency in English
Availability to travel (~30%) and eligibility to work in the U.S.
Working Conditions
Salary: $78,000 – $85,000 depending on experience
