CNC Programmer
Introduction
I am currently recruiting a CNC Programmer for a global manufacturing company specializing in the design and production of complex industrial equipment.
This is a key replacement position, as the current incumbent is still in the role. We are looking for a skilled and autonomous professional who can contribute directly to shop performance and machining optimization.
If you enjoy working on custom, non-repetitive precision parts and collaborating closely with engineering and production teams, this role offers real technical depth and impact.
Mission
Your Role
As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing CAM programs required to manufacture in-house precision components.
In this position, you will:
• create and refine CNC programs (lathe and router) for complex, custom machining operations;
• interpret technical drawings and determine optimal machining strategies;
• define routing steps, select tooling and materials, and establish efficient manufacturing sequences;
• optimize nesting and machine utilization to improve productivity;
• act as the technical reference for setups, tooling selection and machining parameters;
• collaborate closely with engineering and shop floor teams to enhance product designs and manufacturing efficiency;
• troubleshoot production issues and recommend practical improvements;
• support programming activities on additional equipment such as CNC laser and press brakes (Amada).
This role goes beyond programming — you will be expected to actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
Your profile
Your Profile
We are looking for a hands-on technical expert with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset.
You bring:
• a DEC in Industrial Engineering with at least 5 years of CNC programming experience, or a vocational diploma in Machining with significant hands-on experience;
• strong expertise in CNC lathe programming (router experience is an asset);
• exposure to laser and CNC press brake programming (asset);
• proficiency in Mastercam (asset);
• familiarity with SolidWorks 3D, SolidWorks Inspection and ePDM (asset);
• knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (asset);
• strong French communication skills and functional English.
You are detail-oriented, solution-driven, and comfortable working closely with both engineering and production teams.
