Mission
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will lead a technical team on major projects lasting 12 to 36 months. You will be accountable for mechanical design, structural and mechanism calculations, component selection, and oversight of designers and engineers. This role provides an excellent opportunity to grow as a technical expert in a challenging and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Technical lead for new equipment and modernization projects
• Mechanical design of mechanisms, structures, ergonomics, and machine safety
• Structural and mechanism calculations and sizing
• Selection of commercial components per specifications
• Supervision of designers, draftsmen, and engineers
• Preparation of technical documentation
Your profile
Your Profile :
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Quebec
• 5 to 10+ years of experience in structural or welded assembly design
• Experience managing a technical team is an asset
• Advanced French and English (spoken and written)
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Proficient in Autocad and Inventor; familiarity with STAAD, ANSYS, MATHCAD, S-FRAME is a plus
• Motivated, dynamic, creative, and team-oriented
