I am Romane, Recruitment Advisor at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in recruitment for Finance professions. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team, experts in finance, speak your language and operate in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll professions.
I am looking for a payroll manager for my client in the manufacturing sector. This is a permanent position in Longueuil with only 2 days per week in the office.
Mission
Supervise the team (5) of weekly and biweekly payroll and processing of
this one for all Canadian divisions;
Act as a resource person for employees and managers regarding
pay in relation to applicable government laws and regulations;
Ensure the reliability and accuracy of the data by implementing
rigorous process of payroll verification, in collaboration with its team, and y
participate as needed;
Supervise and ensure a healthy distribution of tasks related to payroll preparation,
CCQ and others;
Provide payment calculations and employee information in salary insurance,
preventive withdrawal and CSST;
Write the transfer with the bank to ensure the deposit of the payrolls in the account
bank of employees;
Prepare the monthly and periodic government submissions concerning the DAS
and other discounts;
Supervise the preparation and reconciliation of various year-end reports (T-4, Relevé
1 and other government reports). Electronic transmissions of T4 and RL1, for
all divisions;
Production of CCQ, CSST, preventive withdrawal reports, etc.;
Supervise the preparation and sending of employment records. Respond to requests for
Employment Insurance and government levels;
Supervise and verify the compilation and production of employee benefits reports and
government rebates, payments to insurance companies, banks
and governments;
Be responsible for payroll entries in the general ledger and explain discrepancies;
Work in collaboration with the divisional controllers and the corporate controller
for the annual audits and the Human Resources team to ensure the accuracy of
employee data;
Your profile
5 years or more of experience supervising a payroll team;
8 to 10 years of experience in unionized and administrative payroll;
DEC in accounting or DEP in accounting with equivalent experience;
Member of the Canadian Payroll Association an asset;
Knowledge of CCQ conventions an asset;
Bilingual (English and French) since you will communicate orally and in writing with the
employees across Canada in addition to supervising 1 person in Ontario;
Sense of organization, respect for deadlines, rigor;
Good management of priorities;
Ability to coordinate and make decisions quickly;
