Assistant Controller - 4 days of remote work in Laval

Mission

I am seeking an Assistant Controller for a manufacturing company located in Laval. This is a hybrid position with the option to work remotely up to four days a week.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Participating in the preparation of financial statements and the consolidation process.
-Preparing and tracking tax reports in accordance with applicable standards.
-Maintaining and strengthening internal controls.
-Contributing to monthly and annual closings: journal entries, reconciliations, analyses, and audit files.
-Supporting budget preparation and monitoring financial forecasts.
-Analyze accounting issues and propose improvements.
-Track fixed assets: documentation, depreciation, and capital projects.
-Conduct ad hoc financial analyses for management.
-Monitor provisions, contracts, and foreign currency-related items.
-Participate in special projects, including ERP implementation/optimization and process improvement.

Your profile

What we’re looking for:
-Professional accounting designation (CPA) (preferred)
-Experience in the manufacturing sector (preferred)
-Bilingual (French and English)
-Knowledge of an ERP system (SAGE or equivalent)

What we offer:
-A salary between $100,000 and $115,000
