Mission
Quality, Compliance & Customer Requirements
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to food safety and quality standards.
• Lead internal and external audits (customers, certifications, third-party audits) and maintain high performance levels.
• Oversee customer complaints, non-conformities, and product recall/withdrawal risks.
• Ensure the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
Operations & Supply Chain Management
• Supervise receiving, warehousing, planning, packaging, and shipping activities.
• Ensure optimal inventory management and material flows (raw materials, packaging, finished goods).
• Work closely with planning and logistics teams to anticipate demand.
• Implement and improve tracking systems, warehouse layout, and storage organization.
Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement
• Ensure site operations comply with internal standards (production, engineering, quality, maintenance, HR, procurement).
• Lead and drive the site’s continuous improvement initiatives.
• Share and deploy best practices in collaboration with other sites and technical experts.
• Contribute to achieving performance, quality, cost, and safety KPIs.
Health, Safety & Environment (EHS)
• Promote a proactive health and safety culture across all levels of the site.
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and maintain emergency response and risk assessment plans.
• Prepare and monitor health, safety, and environmental reports.
People Management & Leadership
• Manage and develop teams (recruitment, performance reviews, training, work organization).
• Support frontline managers in achieving objectives and developing their skills.
• Apply HR policies, legal frameworks, and collective agreements.
• Ensure clear and effective site-wide communication (meetings, reporting, performance indicators).
Cross-Functional Role
• Act as site lead in the absence of the Operations Director.
• Actively contribute to strategic projects and organizational development initiatives.
Your profile
• Technical higher education degree (chemistry, biology, microbiology, engineering, or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, ideally within agri-food, fermentation, biochemical, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Proven experience managing large teams and leading cross-functional operations.
• Strong expertise in quality, food safety, QMS systems (ISO, SQF, etc.), and EHS.
• Experience with continuous processes and/or food manufacturing.
• Strong continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence and cost optimization.
• Excellent analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, hands-on approach, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of financial principles and cost accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
