Mission
I’m currently seeking, on behalf of one of my clients in the real estate and property management sector, a Category Manager – Non-Food Products to strengthen their procurement team based in Montreal.
Your main responsibilities
Negotiate and manage commercial agreements with suppliers
Conduct RFPs (requests for proposals) and market analyses
Monitor pricing, rebates, and contracts in collaboration with the department analyst
Source and onboard new suppliers and partners
Develop tools and documentation to improve efficiency and internal processes
Work closely with operations, finance, and field teams
Lead quarterly performance review meetings with suppliers

Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in category management, procurement, or strategic sourcing (ideally within retail or senior living environments)
Proven experience in the Canadian market (sourcing, RFPs, negotiation, supplier management)
Knowledge of non-food products (MRO, furniture, general supplies, etc.)
Strong grasp of financial principles, margin analysis, and profitability
Proficiency with office tools and procurement/RFP software
Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken), as collaboration with anglophone teams is required
