Garage Supervisor – Transportation

This position sits at the intersection of people leadership and technical maintenance within a high-activity garage environment operating close to around the clock.
Mission
Your Role
You will oversee a team of approximately 30 mechanics organized across different specialties, including light vehicles, heavy trucks and trailers, supported by team leads.
Your main objective is to ensure fleet reliability by planning preventive and corrective maintenance, prioritizing workloads and aligning resources with operational needs. You will monitor performance, control maintenance costs and ensure all work complies with safety, regulatory and quality standards.
The role also includes managing vendor relationships for inspections and certifications, overseeing facility upkeep and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the garage.
As a hands-on leader, you will coach and support your team, address performance or disciplinary matters when required and help maintain a strong and collaborative shop culture.
You will work closely with maintenance leadership, transportation teams and internal partners to streamline processes and reinforce a strong safety mindset across operations.
Your profile
Your Profile
You hold a diploma in heavy equipment mechanics or bring equivalent hands-on experience allowing you to understand technical maintenance challenges in an industrial fleet environment.
You have prior experience supervising maintenance or shop teams and are recognized for your leadership, decision-making abilities and organizational skills.
You are comfortable with:
• budget management;
• external vendor coordination;
• maintenance tracking systems and digital tools.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations in a regulated industrial setting is important.
Functional English is required to communicate with partners and teams across Canada and the United States.
Success in this role relies on your shop-floor credibility, your ability to lead diverse teams and your practical technical judgment.

Working Conditions
Permanent position based in Kingsey Falls, with a primarily daytime schedule and flexibility to connect with teams working across different shifts.
Compensation can reach approximately $100,000, depending on experience, along with a competitive benefits package including:
