Production Supervisor – Assembly

I am currently recruiting a Production Supervisor for a manufacturing company specializing in the assembly of technical products, located in Longueuil.
You will supervise a team of 10 to 40 assemblers and be accountable for its operational performance and employee development during the day shift.
Mission
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will plan daily activities, engage employees and support the achievement of productivity, quality, delivery and workplace-safety targets.
The company is looking for an experienced, hands-on manager who can quickly take ownership of a manufacturing team.
Your Responsibilities:
-Plan and organize daily assembly activities
-Allocate labour according to production priorities
-Supervise, engage and develop a team of 10 to 40 employees
-Monitor production orders, productivity and delivery deadlines
-Analyze performance gaps and implement the required adjustments
-Manage attendance, conduct and individual performance
-Coordinate employee onboarding and training
-Monitor attendance and approve timesheets
-Ensure compliance with quality and workplace health and safety standards
-Help address non-conformances and operational issues
-Monitor delivery, quality, labour, safety and attendance indicators
-Participate in new-product introductions and continuous-improvement initiatives
-Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and support functions
Your profile
Requirements:
-Confirmed experience supervising teams within a manufacturing environment
-Industrial assembly experience strongly preferred
-Demonstrated ability to manage operational and employee performance
-Engaging leadership style and ability to develop employees
-Experience managing attendance, conduct and disciplinary matters
-Good understanding of production, quality and labour indicators
-Strong problem-solving and priority-management skills
-Continuous-improvement experience
-Good command of Microsoft Office
-College diploma in industrial engineering, electronics or operations management; equivalent training accepted
-Professional French and English
-Autonomy, sound judgment and a strong presence on the production floor
Conditions:
-Permanent position located in Longueuil
-Permanent day shift
-Annual salary between $75,000 and $85,000, depending on experience
