Electromechanical Technician

I am currently recruiting for a manufacturing company specializing in technical solutions and automated systems. We are looking for an Electromechanical Technician with a strong interest in automation, instrumentation and control systems to support project development and provide technical expertise to customers.
Mission
Reporting to the Project Development Director, you will play a key role in the assembly, installation, commissioning and maintenance of automated systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Assemble and wire control panels including variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor starters, protection devices and power components;
Read, interpret and update electrical drawings and schematics;
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical and hydraulic issues;
Install, calibrate and maintain industrial instrumentation and motor control equipment;
Participate in equipment commissioning and provide user training;
Perform preventive maintenance and service work on company equipment;
Occasionally travel to customer sites for technical support and after-sales service;
Respond to customer technical inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

Your profile
DEC in Electrical Engineering Technology or DEP in Electromechanics with relevant industry experience;
Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation and motor control systems;
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings;
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components;
C License considered an asset;
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented;
Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic environment;
Valid driver's license;
Available for occasional travel throughout Quebec and, on rare occasions, elsewhere in Canada;
Functional bilingualism (French and English), both written and spoken.
