Our client, a leading organization in the distribution and logistics sector, is launching a state-of-the-art automated distribution centre in Montreal East. To support this major transformation project, we are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Electrotechnician to join the maintenance team.
Mission
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of a highly automated facility featuring advanced conveying, sorting, robotics and control systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment;
• Troubleshooting electrical, electromechanical and automation-related issues;
• Working with PLCs, sensors, drives, motors and industrial control systems;
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance;
• Collaborating closely with operations teams to maximize system availability;
• Assisting in the development of maintenance procedures and start-up activities for the new automated facility;
• Responding effectively in a fast-paced environment where troubleshooting and prioritization are critical;
• Participating in technical training programs provided internally and by equipment suppliers.
Successful candidates will join the organization prior to the facility launch in order to receive training and gain operational knowledge before the transition to the new site.
Working Conditions
• Annual salary of approximately $85,000 to $90,000, based on experience;
• 38.75-hour work week;
• Day, evening, night and weekend schedules may be required depending on operational needs;

Your profile
• DEC in Electrotechnology, Industrial Electronics Technology or related field;
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience;
• Experience working in automated manufacturing, warehousing or distribution environments;
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, industrial automation systems, sensors and drives;
• Experience with conveyors, automated sortation systems, robotics or automated distribution centres is considered a strong asset;
• Electrical Licence C is an asset;
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills;
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations;
• Team-oriented, autonomous and results-driven.
