PRODUCTION FOREMAN – EVENING SHIFT
Introduction
I’m Ella Tiberghien, Recruitment Consultant with FED ManuTech, specializing in engineering, technical and manufacturing positions. I’m currently recruiting a Production Foreman for a manufacturing company looking for a hands-on leader to oversee its production team on a 10-hour evening shift, from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
Mission
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be the key point of contact for your team during the evening shift. You will ensure production runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising, coaching and motivating production employees;
Organizing schedules and assigning tasks according to production priorities;
Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards;
Monitoring production output, quality and efficiency;
Adjusting staffing and resources based on production requirements;
Identifying issues on the production floor and coordinating with Maintenance when needed;
Supporting the onboarding and training of new employees;
Following up on employee performance and maintaining a positive work environment;
Addressing day-to-day operational issues and communicating key concerns to management;
Completing production reports and participating in team meetings;
Ensuring quality procedures are followed and non-conformities are addressed;
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and Lean.
Your profile
Diploma in Operations Management, Planning or equivalent experience;
Minimum 2 years of experience supervising or coordinating production teams;
Experience in a manufacturing plant;
Strong hands-on leadership and team management skills;
Good judgment, organization and ability to prioritize;
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to operational issues;
Excellent communication skills;
Strong French and English skills, both spoken and written;
Knowledge of Genius and MS Office;
Basic knowledge of Excel, ERP or production management software.
Working Conditions
Permanent position;
10-hour evening shift: 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM;
Hands-on leadership role with strong presence on the production floor;
