I am currently recruiting an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor for a manufacturing company specialized in metal processing. This position plays an important role in equipment reliability, with a strong technical focus on automation, PLCs and electrical systems.
Mission
YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the maintenance team, you will contribute to the reliability and performance of production equipment while providing technical support to the maintenance and production teams.
• Supervise and support maintenance personnel under your responsibility;
• Work closely with production teams to maintain equipment reliability and uptime;
• Troubleshoot electrical and automated systems;
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), particularly Schneider systems;
• Participate in equipment improvements and automation projects;
• Identify technical issues and implement effective solutions;
• Follow up on maintenance priorities and interventions;
• Support the onboarding and development of maintenance employees;
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and performance standards.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Salary around $90,000 per year;
• 36-hour night shift, 3 days per week;
• C Licence is not required but considered an asset;
• Opportunity to complete the C Licence directly at the plant, with apprenticeship hours recognized;
• Mechanical and electrical technical testing required as part of the hiring process.
Your profile
YOUR PROFILE
• Training in automation, electrical engineering, instrumentation or a related field;
• 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment;
• Strong knowledge of automation and PLC systems;
• Experience with Schneider PLCs is a strong asset;
• Solid electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills;
• Previous supervisory or team coordination experience is an asset;
• Automation certification, or certification currently in progress, is an asset;
• Resourceful, autonomous and proactive mindset;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
