Systems & Network Administrator

Introduction

I’m Marian Babin, Director at FED IT, a recruitment firm specializing in permanent and temporary staffing for Information Technology professionals.
We are currently looking for a Systems & Network Administrator to join the IT team of a well-established organization in Montreal.

Mission

As part of a 40-person IT department and a team of 3 specialists, you will play a key role in managing, securing, and enhancing the organization's IT infrastructure.
You will be involved in both day-to-day operations and projects aimed at improving and modernizing the IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.
Manage virtualized infrastructures using VMware and/or Hyper-V.
Oversee storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
Ensure system availability, performance, and security.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide Level 3 support.
Participate in infrastructure modernization and improvement projects.
Contribute to process optimization, automation, and system enhancements.
Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.

Your profile

Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration and IT infrastructure.
Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), and Microsoft 365.
Solid experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
Good understanding of networking services and protocols, including DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
Experience with backup solutions, storage systems, and monitoring tools.
Knowledge of Azure environments and PowerShell scripting.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team.

Nice to Have
Experience with networking and security solutions such as WatchGuard, Aruba, or equivalent technologies.
Familiarity with MDM solutions and macOS environments.
Experience supporting multi-site IT infrastructures.
Involvement in infrastructure migration, modernization, or automation projects.
