Mission
Key responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned properties.
Perform monthly GST/QST calculations and submit remittances in accordance with government regulations and prescribed deadlines.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including preparing journal entries, provisions, and other adjusting entries as required.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for assigned properties, ensuring prompt processing and accurate entry of all transactions.
Prepare and issue monthly invoices for management fees from the management company to the relevant real estate entities (shopping centers, etc.).
Calculate and invoice rental commissions and related fees in accordance with signed leases and internal policies.
Determine and invoice coordination fees and project costs (e.g., leasehold improvements, capital projects) to the relevant properties, ensuring rigorous tracking and accurate cost allocation.
Ensure timely and accurate execution of month-end closing procedures in accordance with company standards and best accounting practices.
Other related duties as required.
Your profile
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
5 to 8 years of accounting experience in the real estate sector
Strong team spirit
Demonstrated initiative and solid problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail, meticulous, efficient, and able to complete tasks within the prescribed deadlines.
Proficiency in Excel.
Experience with Yardi Voyager is an asset.
Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written, in order to communicate with management teams and partners outside Quebec.
