Mission
Context of the position
This is a replacement role within a growing team and in a context of technological transformation.
Responsibilities, deliverables, and day‑to‑day impact of the role
The person will report to our Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for ensuring the company’s accounting operations in accordance with current compliance standards.
Your main responsibilities:
• Coordinate month‑end close with stakeholders
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analytical reports to be presented to senior management
• Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with accuracy
• Participate in budget development and lead quarterly forecasts
• Monitor costs and ensure compliance with operational budgets
• Coordinate the annual audit of financial statements and tax returns with external auditors
• Follow up on administrative files with provincial and federal governments and review monthly GST/QST filings
• Prepare and analyze intercompany transaction files
• Alert and report to senior management any critical trends related to the company’s financial performance
• Support the development and implementation of the company’s financial policies, procedures, and systems
• Train and supervise employees under their responsibility (1 to 2 people)
• Perform, when necessary, the same functions as supervised employees

Your profile
Desired profile
Education & experience
• University degree in accounting and holding a CPA designation (asset)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, including 5 years in accounting analysis and management
• Experience in the construction industry (asset)
Technical skills
• Strong autonomy in preparing financial statements
• Experience with high transaction volumes and comfort with intercompany operations
• Experience with an ERP‑type software is required
• Very strong command of Excel

• Ability to navigate in a fast‑paced and changing environment
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
Compensation & benefits
• Salary aligned with the market and based on experience
• 4 weeks of vacation per year (construction holiday weeks), starting at hire; then one additional day per year of seniority up to a maximum of 6 weeks per year
• No automatic bonus, but occasional incentive programs based on collective and/or individual performance
• Comprehensive group insurance (active coverage starting on the first day of employment)

• After 3 months, retirement plan (RRSP/DPSP) with employer contribution of approximately 4%. Over the years, the rate increases up to a maximum of 8%.
