Mission
Reporting to the Director of Taxation, you assist with all tax functions, including income, sales, transfer pricing, and SALT taxes across Canada and the U.S.

Your tasks at a glance
Indirect tax compliance (CDN & US) & Income tax compliance (CDN)
• You assist in the preparation, review and filing of Canadian tax returns (T2, T-5013) including prescribed filings (T5, T-1134, T-106, NR-4).
• You oversee the Canadian sales tax compliance for the group and provide recommendations.
• You assist with the data compilation and the review of the U.S. (Federal & State) tax returns (1120, 1065). Including prescribed filings (1099) and US Indirect tax functions (SALT).
• You manage tax audits and collaborate with tax authorities.
• You collaborate with external tax counsel regarding special mandates.
• You conduct tax research as well as stay informed on relevant changes in the tax legislation (including tax incentives). You communicate their potential impacts to management.
• You design and streamline internal processes to ensure compliance.
• You contribute to the implementation of transfer pricing methodology. (asset)
Your profile
A clear view of your assets
• You have a professional accounting designation (CPA) and a master’s degree in taxation (or equivalent CPA Canada In-Depth).
• You have a minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in corporate income tax and indirect tax.
• You have strong planning and execution skills.
• You are an excellent team player with solid business judgment and initiative.
• You are proficient with Tax Prep, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
• You are fluent in French and can also communicate in English, enabling you to interact with unilingual English-speaking colleagues outside Quebec and with the tax authorities outside Quebec.
