About the Role
I’m currently seeking, on behalf of one of our clients — a well-established company in the medical sector — a Category Manager – Purchasing to take on the strategic management of several product categories.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing environment, where analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and strategic thinking are key to success.
Main Responsibilities
Define and implement purchasing strategies for assigned product categories.
Analyze sales, margin, and profitability performance, and recommend improvement actions.
Coordinate supply planning and ensure optimal inventory levels.
Negotiate and manage commercial agreements and supplier relationships.
Lead product selection committees and ensure the execution of related decisions.
Identify new products and market trends to enhance the product offering.
Prepare and monitor performance reports and KPIs.
Handle and resolve commercial and financial disputes.
Supervise and support the assistant category manager in daily tasks and professional development.
Contribute to defining the department’s objectives and purchasing strategies.
Your profile
Profile Sought
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
Experience: 3 to 5 years in category management, purchasing, or procurement.
Asset: Knowledge of the medical or healthcare industry.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics AX or equivalent).
Bilingualism (French & English), both written and spoken.

Working Conditions
Salary: $68,000 – $75,000 (depending on experience).
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, flexible.
