I am currently looking for a Demand Planning Director for one of my clients operating in the distribution industry, based in Montreal.
Mission
Reporting to the Associate Vice President, the Demand Planning Director will be responsible for leading the company’s digital transformation within the planning function. This individual will play a strategic role in the implementation and optimization of ERP tools, particularly SAP IBP.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive forecasting strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives, market realities, and long-term business direction.
Leverage advanced analytics tools, predictive models, and AI-powered solutions to anticipate demand fluctuations and support proactive decision-making.
Continuously monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and economic factors to identify business risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with leadership teams to integrate demand data into business strategies, financial forecasts, and commercial initiatives.
Develop modern planning models and processes that enhance operational agility, resilience, and scalability, particularly through technologies such as SAP IBP and machine learning tools.
Define and monitor key performance indicators related to forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory management, while implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Act as a digital transformation leader by promoting best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain organization.
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team by encouraging innovation, accountability, and the achievement of ambitious objectives.
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree considered an asset).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (asset).
PMP certification (asset).
Proven experience in leadership, change management, and organizational transformation.
Strong expertise with planning systems and tools such as SAP IBP or Blue Yonder.
Excellent analytical and financial skills, with the ability to interpret and leverage data effectively.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP platforms.
Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
Strong results-oriented mindset focused on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Bilingualism required: strong English proficiency is essential due to frequent interactions with partners and clients across Canada, primarily English-speaking, both verbally and in writing.
