Maintenance Supervisor – Day shift

I’m currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing company located in St-Constant.
Mission
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll oversee a dynamic team of mechanics and contractors, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable equipment performance. Your leadership will drive preventive and corrective maintenance activities while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of industrial mechanics and external contractors.
- Plan, assign, and review weekly maintenance activities.
- Guarantee work quality, operational safety, and optimal efficiency.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and ensure timely equipment repairs.
- Take part in major shutdowns and capital projects.
- Monitor maintenance performance and recommend improvements.
- Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards across all operations.
- Mentor and develop apprentices and team members.
Your profile
Your Profile :
- Diploma in Industrial Mechanics or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision within an industrial or heavy equipment environment.
- Hands-on experience in equipment inspection and repair.
- Strong knowledge of SAP and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a unionized environment and familiarity with labor laws.
- Availability for occasional travel (up to 10%).
