I’m currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Supervisor with strong mechanical knowledge and proven leadership ability to join a well-established food manufacturer located in Montreal.
Mission
Your Role
Reporting to the Plant Director, you’ll be responsible for leading and coordinating all maintenance activities within the facility to ensure optimal equipment reliability and production performance.
Your main responsibilities include:
Supervising and mentoring a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring proper task planning and execution.
Managing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks across various shifts.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment lifespan and production efficiency.
Coordinating contractor activities while maintaining strict safety and quality standards (BRC compliance).
Monitoring inventory, maintenance budgets, and departmental KPIs.
Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training of maintenance staff.
Partnering with HR to enforce company policies and the collective agreement.
Your profile
Your Profile
Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Electromechanics, Industrial Mechanics, or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in maintenance supervision or coordination, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Strong leadership and organizational abilities, with solid problem-solving skills.
Proactive and autonomous, capable of setting clear priorities and leading by example.
Committed to continuous improvement and cross-department collaboration.
Working Conditions
Permanent full-time position (40h/week)
Day shift, with flexibility to support other shifts when required
Salary: between $80,000 and $85,000 annually, depending on experience
