Production Supervisor – Evening Shift

I’m currently recruiting a Production Supervisor for a Quebec-based food manufacturing company. This is a highly hands-on opportunity, well suited for a junior supervisor or experienced team leader looking to take the next step in their career.
Mission
Your Role :
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will oversee day-to-day production activities during the evening shift. This is a highly floor-oriented position, with approximately 95% of your time spent directly with the production team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Organizing and assigning work according to production priorities;
Supervising daily floor operations and ensuring strong productivity;
Coaching, supporting and motivating your team;
Acting as a key resource for employees and maintaining a positive work environment;
Working closely with the Production Manager to coordinate daily priorities;
Ensuring production schedules and targets are met;
Promoting and enforcing health and safety standards;
Identifying operational issues and taking action to resolve them;
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving productivity and work methods.
Working Conditions :
Target salary around $65,000, up to $70,000 depending on experience;
Evening shift, 4:00 p.m. to midnight;
Permanent, full-time position;
Highly hands-on role, with approximately 95% of your time on the production floor;

Your profile
Your Profile :
1 to 3 years of experience in a team leader or supervisory role;
Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within food processing;
Strong leadership and coaching skills;
Excellent communication and people-management abilities;
Comfortable managing priorities in a fast-paced production environment;
Strong health and safety awareness;
Hands-on, autonomous and comfortable making decisions on the floor;
Food manufacturing experience is a strong asset.
