I'm Caroline, Recruitment Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.
I'm looking for a Payroll Technician for my client based on the South Shore. This is a permanent hybrid position.
Mission
- Process, verify and transmit payroll.
- Control time sheets and expenses in accordance with tax regulations.
- Manage pension, insurance and leave forms.
- Maintain absence, vacation and accumulated time records.
- Make remittances (RRSPs, CCQ, pensions, etc.).
- Participate in the production of Records of Employment, T4s and other tax documents.
- Support optimization of payroll processes.
- Produce compensation and benefits reports.
- Apply payroll provisions of collective agreements.
- Act as a point of contact for questions related to his/her duties.
- Provide ad hoc team replacement as required.
- Perform various related administrative tasks (HR file updates, probation follow-up, training, etc.).
Your profile
- DEP or DEC in accounting or administration.
- 3 to 5 years' experience in payroll or similar role.
- Bilingualism required (English-speaking supervisor).
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Experience with payroll software (UKG, an asset).
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience in a unionized environment preferred.
- Thoroughness, organizational skills and a spirit of continuous improvement.
