My name is Caroline, and I am a recruitment consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in finance. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent positions on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and understands your world. We cover accounting, finance, and payroll positions.
I am looking for a Financial Controller for my client based on the South Shore. This is a permanent position in hybrid mode.
Mission
- Oversee the entire accounting cycle and supervise an accounting technician.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, analyse variances and ensure the reliability of financial data.
- Coordinate year-ends and the preparation of external audit files.
- Draw up budgets, financial forecasts and performance indicators.
- Analyse costs, margins and profitability by department to support decision-making.
- Advise senior management on investments, cost optimisation and improving financial performance.
- Maintain internal controls, ensure tax compliance and optimise accounting processes.
- Collaborate with operational, sales and procurement teams to provide relevant financial analyses.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA qualification essential.
- 5 to 8 years’ relevant experience in accounting and financial analysis.
- Experience in a small-to-medium-sized manufacturing business, ideally in a growing environment.
- Proficiency in the full accounting cycle, the preparation of financial statements and budgeting.
- Excellent command of Excel and good knowledge of ERP systems.
- Experience in supervising staff is an advantage.
- Experience in the agri-food sector is an advantage.
- Functional command of French and English, both spoken and written, to collaborate with English-speaking business partners.
PROCESS: Initial interview with Caroline Vansteene, Recruitment Consultant, followed by an interview with the Human Resources Director.
