A company in the food industry, recently acquired by an international group, is undergoing a post-acquisition transformation. The indirect procurement team is being restructured, offering a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to a strategic function in a dynamic environment.
Mission:
We are looking for a Category Manager to take full ownership of the Logistics category, including transport, warehousing, and 3PL. This role covers all of Canada and requires a strategic, hands-on, and autonomous professional capable of ensuring continuity while structuring and optimizing logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
Define and implement the logistics category strategy
Optimize the transport and warehousing network (internal fleet vs carriers, multi-warehouse models, national distribution)
Select and manage 3PL providers and suppliers
Lead RFI / RFP processes
Support system and process changes related to the acquisition
Ensure agile logistics for fast-moving perishable products (~40-day shelf life)
Your profile
Profile:
Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role
Proven expertise in transport, warehousing, and 3PL management
Experience in FMCG / food industry and cold chain highly desirable
Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic and transforming environment
Conditions:
Temporary 6-month contract with the possibility to convert to permanent
40 hours per week
