Mission
Our client, a recognized player in the specialized distribution sector for interior design and finishing products, is continuing its growth and looking to strengthen its procurement team.
Reporting to the Purchasing and Merchandising Manager, the Procurement Agent plays a key role in managing purchasing activities and supplier relationships to ensure product availability, meet deadlines, and optimize costs.
Mission:
• Plan and execute purchases based on operational needs and inventory levels
• Issue and follow up on purchase orders
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure deadlines and agreed conditions are respected
• Monitor deliveries, delays, and claims
• Analyze purchasing data, costs, inventory levels, and supplier performance
• Support logistics coordination and import activities
• Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and finance teams
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardization of procurement processes
Your profile
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing (SME or retail experience is considered an asset)
• Education in procurement or a related field
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation abilities
• Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Autonomous, detail-oriented, and able to manage priorities and occasional pressure effectively
• Comfortable using computer systems (ERP, Excel)
• Functional English required for communication with suppliers outside Quebec and internationally
Conditions and Benefits
• Permanent full-time position
• 40-hour work week
• Fully on-site role
• Salary between $50,000 and $60,000
