Mission
The Accounts Payable Technician plays a key role within the Finance and Accounting department by being responsible for updating and improving accounts payable procedures. If you are a positive, motivated individual who enjoys new challenges, this position is definitely for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify and record invoices related to purchase orders, ensuring accurate information and proper accounting treatment (prepaid, CAPEX, expense).
- Record operating invoices.
- Manage identified discrepancies and forward requests to the appropriate departments.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding pending or unpaid invoices.
- Prepare payments via wire transfer or bank transfer.
- Review and process employee expense reports.
- Create and update vendor accounts, including collecting required documents and applicable tax forms.
- Review vendor statements and request missing invoices.
- Open incoming mail at the office and make bank deposits.
- Perform any other related duties as required.
Your profile
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum academic requirements:
DEC / AEC / DEP in Accounting
Minimum years of experience: 3 to 5 years
- Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with project-based accounting and multi‑company environments.
- Knowledge of the ODOO accounting system (an asset).
- Demonstrated autonomy, versatility, and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent sense of priorities, ability to manage requests flexibly, and capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong team spirit and ease in interpersonal communication.
PROCESS : First interview with Bianka Zacard, Recruitment Team Lead, followed by an interview with the Financial Controller.
