Mission
Reporting to the Finance Leadership team, the Accounting Manager is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information to support decision‑making for the business units under their scope. The role involves preparing journal entries, reviewing balance sheet accounts, and actively contributing to the improvement and standardization of internal processes. This person will also serve as a key resource for teams across the organization on matters related to financial data and accounting practices.
What You Will Do
- Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger.
- Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Produce, analyze, and distribute financial statements within required deadlines.
- Provide guidance and technical support to members of the accounting team.
- Participate in internal and external audit activities as the accounting representative.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal financial policies.
- Assist in preparing financial presentations, reports, and budget materials.
- Review and analyze various invoices and transactions.
- Prepare and distribute monthly closing reports.
- Support business unit leaders in understanding accounting‑related issues.
- Perform various ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
Your profile
Who You Are
- University degree in accounting or a related field.
- Professional designation (e.g., CPA) considered an asset.
- Strong command of both English and French, spoken and written.
- At least five years of experience in a corporate accounting environment.
- Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.
- Solid understanding of the full accounting cycle.
- Willingness to work additional hours during month‑end periods.
- Detail‑oriented, resourceful, curious, and autonomous.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.
- Service‑oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Adaptable to change and motivated by continuous improvement.
- Strong team player.
