I’m Caroline, a Recruitment Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in finance roles. I handle two types of placements: temporary and permanent positions on Montreal’s South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates within your industry. We cover roles in accounting, finance, and payroll.
I am currently seeking a Director of Financial Reporting and Internal Control for my client based in Brossard. This is a permanent hybrid position.
Mission
- Oversee the consolidation process and the preparation of consolidated financial statements in a multinational environment.
- Review accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses to ensure compliance with IFRS standards and the accuracy of financial data.
- Participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings for a publicly traded company.
- Oversee external and internal audits, ensure the maintenance of effective internal controls, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes.
- Analyze complex transactions, prepare technical accounting memos, and support various strategic finance projects.
- Collaborate with international teams, external tax advisors, and senior management on compliance, disclosure, and corporate risk management issues.
Your profile
- CPA required, with a university degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial reporting and consolidation, including management experience.
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS standards and accounting practices within a public and multinational corporate environment.
- Experience in complex consolidation, financial disclosure, audits, and internal controls.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly SAP or financial consolidation tools.
- Bilingualism in French and English required;
- Experience in the mining, industrial, or natural resources sectors is considered a strong asset.
