Mission
I am seeking a Financial Controller for a distribution company located in Laval.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, your responsibilities and tasks will include:
- Overseeing the month-end closing process
- Reviewing general ledger entries for all group companies
- Preparing monthly financial statements and reports with recommendations for management
-Ensure accounting and regulatory compliance and coordinate the annual audit
-Optimize financial processes and train teams
-Monitor customer agreements and validate international supplier payments
-Manage sales taxes and produce financial reports
-Monitor accounts receivable and analyze gross margins
-Oversee the company’s environmental fees and insurance
-Other related tasks
Your profile
What we're looking for:
-Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
-CPA (preferred)
-5 years of experience in financial control or a similar role
-Experience in an SME (a plus)
-Team management and leadership
-Advanced Excel skills
