I am currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Assistant Controller is responsible for overseeing and analyzing the cost of goods sold, managing financial transactions related to inventory, supporting product line costing activities, and contributing to financial analysis, modeling, and period-end reporting.

Inventory and Production Accounting:
- Validate daily production data in the company’s ERP system
- Coordinate approvals related to scrap and obsolescence
- Produce inventory reports by product category
- Process inventory movements related to repairs, warranties, and returns
- Participate in budgeting processes and financial forecasting exercises
- Support cycle counting and inventory reconciliation processes
- Monitor manufacturing costs and production overhead
- Perform cost, pricing, and variance analyses and produce management reports
- Contribute to product margin reporting
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts
- Maintain customer billing and the integrity of financial data
- Participate in periodic financial close activities
- Maintain bill of materials (BOM) structures and standard costs

Expanded Analytical Responsibilities:
- Support product line costing and analysis activities
- Perform in-depth cost and profitability analyses
- Participate in cost reviews with operational and technical teams

ERP System Expertise:
- Resolve issues related to transactions and workflows in the ERP system
- Contribute to ERP process improvements and optimization
- Support data integrity and system usage across departments
- Act as a key resource for financial and operational questions related to the system

Reporting, Analysis, and Modeling:
- Contribute to financial modeling and advanced analyses
- Participate in activities related to financial consolidation and planning tools

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and sales teams
- Support testing cycles during financial system upgrades
- Train and support colleagues on certain processes or tools

Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve financial and operational processes
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and improvement projects

Your profile

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA or equivalent), an asset
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with an ERP system (an asset)
- Bilingual in French and English
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong interest in cost analysis, profitability, and continuous improvement
