My name is Fiona, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.
I'm looking for a Financial Analyst for a construction company located in Brossard, (hybrid with 3 of TT).
Mission
Your mission as Financial Analyst:
In collaboration with the Finance Director, prepare monthly financial statements:
o Coordinate the closing of auxiliaries with accounting technicians and clerks.
o Prepare or revise the worksheets required to support balance sheet accounts.
o Prepare accruals and import them into the accounting system.
o Analyze financial results, identify significant variances with budget and forecasts, then provide clear explanations for stakeholders.
o Participate in the preparation of the monthly presentation of financial results.
Contribute to the preparation of the annual audit file at the end of the fiscal year;
o Carry out the daily bank reconciliation, define the cash position of the company's various entities and rebalance accounts in accordance with the cash management policy;
o Prepare the monthly borrowing base certificate and supporting documents required by the bank for margination;
o Prepare monthly commodity tax returns for the various entities;
o Participate in the Finance function's continuous improvement efforts, including process re-engineering, the development of accounting policies and internal controls, and the creation of accounting and financial analyses.
Your profile
To work with us, you need:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration with specialization in finance, or any other relevant studies;
CPA professional designation or in the process of obtaining it (possible accompaniment to validate the required experience);
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a company or accounting firm;
Functional command of English;
Advanced knowledge of Excel;
Experience in the construction industry (an asset);
Experience in an environment applying NCECF (an asset);
Demonstrate autonomy, initiative and leadership.
