Mission
Position Summary
Our client, an international organization operating in a technical and highly regulated environment, is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Technician to join its small warehouse team.
Reporting to the management team responsible for inventory, the successful candidate will support daily shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory control activities. This is primarily a hands-on warehouse position with an important computer component.
The environment is fast-paced and well suited to someone who is proactive, autonomous, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform daily shipping and receiving activities.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and required documentation.
• Prepare, pack, and label materials for shipment according to applicable requirements.
• Arrange shipments with carriers and courier services.
• Process material issues, transfers, and inventory movements in the system.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform regular cycle counts.
• Organize materials and optimize warehouse storage space.
• Handle various parts and components, including occasional dangerous goods.
• Follow applicable procedures for dangerous and controlled goods.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate inventory information in the ERP system.
• Work closely with internal teams to follow up on material requirements and orders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory, safety, and warehouse operations.
Your profile
Candidate Profile
• Approximately 2+ years of experience in shipping & receiving, warehousing, inventory, material handling, or a related field.
• Experience in a technical, regulated, or manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Aviation logistics or similar industry experience is a strong asset but not required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience handling dangerous goods is an asset.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, autonomous, curious, and organized, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong English skills required to work effectively in the environment; French is an asset.
• Ability to perform physical warehouse duties and lift up to 50 lbs.
Specific Requirements
• The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance and eligibility for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
• Ability to obtain and maintain job-related certifications, including dangerous goods handling and forklift operation.
Working Conditions & Benefits
• Permanent, full-time position.
• Regular schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Occasional availability outside regular working hours may be required based on operational needs.
