Mission
Our client, a fast-growing manufacturing company, is looking for a Senior Master Planner to lead the overall master production planning function and manage a multidisciplinary team at the heart of operations.
Reporting to an executive operations leader, this individual will play a critical role in balancing customer demand, material availability, production capacity, and operational priorities. Acting as a central point of coordination between operations, procurement, production, and customer service, the successful candidate will ensure the execution of a clear, realistic, and high-performing production plan within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who can make decisions quickly, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and thrive in an environment where tools and processes are continuously evolving and improving.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across multiple product lines and business units
Plan production activities based on capacity, material availability, and customer priorities
Make prioritization decisions when multiple departments compete for shared critical resources
Oversee demand planning, scheduling, and capacity management activities
Ensure on-time delivery performance and act as an escalation point for critical orders
Collaborate closely with production, procurement, warehouse, and customer service teams
Identify operational risks and bottlenecks while recommending optimization solutions
Oversee inventory strategies, including safety stock, reorder points, and cycle counts
Produce and analyze KPIs related to supply chain and operational performance
Develop and improve planning tools, reporting, and operational processes
Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational transformation projects
Team Management
This role includes the direct management of a team of approximately 8 employees, including:
Operational Planners
Work Order Controllers
Material Analysts
Production Coordination Leads
Your profile
Profile Sought
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, planning, or a complex manufacturing environment
Significant leadership experience within an operational setting
Strong expertise in MPS/MRP, demand planning, capacity planning, and inventory management
Excellent understanding of manufacturing ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent)
Strong analytical skills and high level of comfort working with data
Experience developing management reports and planning tools
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field
Bilingualism in French and English is require
