Purchasing Coordinator Senior

I am a Recruitment Consultant at Fed Supply, specializing in temporary and permanent recruitment across Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Transportation.
I am currently supporting a large organization with a major industrial project in Quebec. As activities continue to ramp up significantly, we are looking for a Senior Purchasing Coordinator.
Mission
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who enjoy being hands-on and involved in the day-to-day execution and follow-up of procurement activities, within a structured, high-volume environment.
Important: This is not a strategic buyer position. We are primarily looking for highly operational profiles who are comfortable with procurement transactions, ERP systems, and rigorous purchase order follow-up.
Your Responsibilities
Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities will include:
Creating, processing, and following up on Purchase Requisitions (PRs);
Creating and managing Purchase Orders (POs);
Making required changes and updates in the ERP system;
Ensuring daily follow-up on open orders;
Following up with suppliers;
Verifying order confirmations, delivery schedules, and administrative information;
Collaborating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or issues related to orders;
Participating in the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process;
Maintaining data accuracy and quality within the system;
Efficiently managing a high volume of transactions;
Providing administrative and operational support to the procurement team.
Your profile
You have several years of experience in purchasing coordination or transactional procurement. You are highly autonomous in SAP, have strong experience managing PRs and POs, and can quickly take ownership of a high volume of transactions.
We are looking for individuals who enjoy keeping operations moving, ensuring accurate order follow-up, and working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This mandate is part of a major long-term project. We therefore place particular importance on professional stability and candidates who are interested in a collaboration that could potentially extend over several years.
