Mission
We are looking for one of our clients for an Import-Export & Logistics Team Leader in the distribution sector. This position is located near Pie-IX Metro.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the team in charge of import-export and logistics operations for Canada and the United States.
Main Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize systems, procedures, and policies required to manage all documentation related to import and export operations.
- Supervise the daily activities of the logistics team: recruitment, training, guidance, evaluation, and motivation of team members.
- Ensure departmental projects, deadlines, and objectives are met and tracked rigorously.
- Manage complex escalated issues and accelerate resolutions with freight forwarders, Canadian and U.S. customs, or suppliers.
- Quickly identify transportation-related issues and propose immediate solutions to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Train the team on shipping processes and new customs regulations.
- Ensure compliance with standards, procedures, laws, and regulations for all shipments and international transport activities.
- Maintain strong and positive professional relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and other partners.
- Oversee tariff classification of products for the Canadian and U.S. markets.
- Conduct regular internal audits and perform various compliance analyses.
- Monitor changes in legal requirements and determine their impact on current methods and procedures.
- Verify government agency obligations and determine their applicability to Vie en Rose products.
- Ensure smooth and continuous communication with various head office departments regarding shipment tracking and goods movement.
- Provide concrete, fast, and suitable solutions for shipping challenges and delivery delays.
- Support processes during customs audits for Canada and the U.S.
- Contribute to the analysis of transportation costs, transit times, and causes of delays.
- Oversee the entire process related to drawback requests (refunds on duties).

Job Requirements
University degree (or equivalent) in transport or logistics.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant export experience.
3 to 5 years of team management experience.
Deep knowledge of Canadian and U.S. import/export regulations, international transportation, supply chain, and international trade.
Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken (regular communication with stakeholders across Canada).
Experience with various order management systems.
Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
