Mission

Your Role

I am currently recruiting for one of my clients, a well-established player in the cosmetics industry located in Montreal, for a Quality Specialist position – 12-month contract – 40 hours/week.

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, you will be a key player in managing and continuously improving the company’s quality systems, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the cosmetics sector.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing key quality processes: non-conformities, CAPAs, change controls, and deviations.
- Leading investigations and root cause analyses.
- Reviewing and approving documentation for raw materials, bulk, semi-finished, and finished products.
- Writing, maintaining, and implementing quality system procedures.
- Rolling out training programs related to quality and GMP compliance.
- Supporting production and cross-functional departments on quality-related matters.
- Participating in internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections.
- Assisting with validation activities and supporting cosmetic vigilance processes.
- Handling customer complaints and monitoring quality KPIs.

Your Background

- University degree or technical diploma in quality assurance, science, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a quality assurance role within a regulated environment (cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, or similar).
- Solid knowledge of GMP and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.

Conditions

- Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 based on experience.
- Temporary 12-month contract – 40 hours per week.

- Work location: Montreal (on-site due to the operational nature of the role).
