I am currently seeking, on behalf of my client based in Montréal, a Financial Controller. This is a newly created position as part of the company’s growth plan.

Mission

Key Responsibilities
Oversee all financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, and profitability for a food distribution company.
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance
Manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Monitor food costs, inventory levels, and wastage
Control cash flow and optimize working capital
Maintain internal controls and coordinate audits
Provide financial insights to improve margins and operations
Supervise and develop finance staff

Your profile

Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
CPA designation (preferred)
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (food/distribution is an asset)
Strong knowledge of accounting, inventory, and ERP systems
