Mission
I’m currently looking for an Aluminum Welder to join a custom metal fabrication company located on the North Shore of Montreal. This is a full-time permanent position, day shift.
Your main responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and welding jigs to assemble aluminum structures.
- Perform MIG welding (and TIG when needed) on various custom aluminum products such as fences, railings, doors, and decorative pieces.
- Ensure high-quality visual and dimensional finishes; make necessary adjustments to fix weld defects.
- Clean, grind, and polish welds to achieve a clean and aesthetic finish.
- Keep your work area clean and safe, following all safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments (cutting, assembly, painting) to ensure smooth production flow.
Your profile
What we're looking for:
- Welding vocational diploma (DEP) or equivalent training.
- 1 to 3 years of aluminum welding experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong skills in MIG welding (aluminum); TIG is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, use measurement tools and perform precise adjustments.
- Familiarity with aluminum properties (e.g. expansion, cracking risks).
- Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Comfortable using grinding, drilling, cutting, and assembly tools.
- Welding certification (CWB) is an asset, but not required at hiring.
