I'm Clémence, recruitment and business development consultant at FED IT, a recruitment agency specializing in IT professions.
I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent.
All our consultants are IT experts who speak your language and work in your environment. We cover the IT, development, business intelligence and infrastructure professions.

We are looking for an experienced BI Specialist to join a company in the transport sector, located in Lasalle. This is a permanent, hybrid position (3 days on site - 2 days remote).

Mission

As a BI & Data Integration Specialist, you will play a key role in modernizing our data infrastructure. You will lead the redesign and implementation of our data warehouse using PostgreSQL, ensuring scalability to support future growth. You will also oversee the migration of our ETL processes from Alteryx to Python, orchestrated through Apache Airflow.

Beyond this strategic project, you’ll be responsible for the continuous development, maintenance, and optimization of our data pipelines and warehouse. You’ll deliver impactful dashboards and reports through Tableau, providing actionable insights to drive business decisions. This role requires a strong blend of data engineering and business intelligence expertise, working with diverse sources such as DB2, Snowflake, and APIs to build a reliable and insightful data environment.

Key Responsibilities
ETL Transformation: Design, build, and maintain Python-based ETL pipelines using Apache Airflow to replace existing Alteryx workflows. Integrate data from DB2, Snowflake, APIs, and other sources.
Data Warehouse Modernization: Lead the overhaul and optimization of our data warehouse in PostgreSQL with a strong focus on performance and scalability.
Data Integration & Management: Ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality data through well-managed ETL pipelines.
Reporting & Visualization: Create compelling dashboards and reports in Tableau to share insights and support decision-making across the organization.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into efficient, scalable BI solutions.
Alteryx to Airflow Migration: Analyze and replicate existing Alteryx logic into Python/Airflow, while documenting key processes and workflows.
Process Optimization: Identify areas for automation and implement improvements to streamline data operations.
Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data flows, ETL processes, warehouse architecture, and reporting solutions.
Version Control: Use Git and GitLab for code management, collaboration, and change tracking across all components of the data stack.

Your profile

What You Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience: Proven background in BI or data engineering, with solid knowledge of ETL workflows and data warehousing principles.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Python for data processing (e.g., pandas, SQLAlchemy).
Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow or a strong motivation to learn quickly.
Strong SQL knowledge and practical experience with PostgreSQL, especially in scalable data warehouse design.
Expertise in Tableau for building dynamic, insightful dashboards.
Experience extracting data from APIs, DB2, and Snowflake.
Ability to interpret and translate Alteryx workflows into Python.
Familiarity with version control tools (Git, GitLab).

English Language Requirement
Proficiency in English is required for this position for the following reasons:
Communication with international clients: Some of our clients are based abroad, and you will regularly communicate with them in English, both verbally and in writing.
Collaboration with English-speaking partners: You will work with English-speaking vendors and partners to manage orders and contracts.
Documentation in English: You will be responsible for drafting reports, proposals, and contracts in English for our international clients.
