Your Role
I am currently recruiting for one of my clients, a company specializing in industrial equipment manufacturing, for a long-term Commissioning Maintenance Technician role based in Montreal.
Position Description:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Commissioning Maintenance Technician will be responsible for integrating with the client’s team and supporting the deployment, quality control, and maintenance of new aseptic equipment in factory settings. Key responsibilities include:
Commissioning equipment on-site and performing functional and performance tests
Assisting with maintenance, CIL (Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication), and troubleshooting of equipment at client sites
Training maintenance teams and supporting food safety and security protocols
Preparing maintenance routines, analyzing production data, and planning preventative and corrective actions
Supporting the client’s team in failure analysis methodology and ensuring a seamless knowledge transfer for “autonomous operation” by the project’s end
Collaborating closely with the technical staff to optimize equipment productivity and upkeep

Your Professional Skills
-Strong skills in diagnosing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial equipment
-Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork ability
-Customer service oriented with strong communication skills
Your Profile
-Diploma in Electromechanics, Automation, or a related technical field
-2 to 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably with industrial equipment in agri-food industry
-Bilingualism (French and English) preferred, but anglophone profiles are also welcomed
The use of English is required for this position for the following reasons:
Communication with international customers: As some of our customers are based abroad, you will be required to communicate regularly with them in English, both orally and in writing.
Working with English-speaking partners: You will be required to work with English-speaking suppliers and partners to monitor orders and manage contracts.
Drafting documents in English: You will be responsible for drafting reports, proposals and contracts in English, for our international customers.
-Availability for a prior long-term training (4 to 6 weeks) outside Canada
-Willingness to relocate to Montreal (support for relocation, airfare, and accommodation provided if required)
Job Conditions
-Long-term assignment based in Montreal (18 months mission)
-Hourly wage: $37 to $45 gross, depending on experience and skills
