Mission
Your Role :
We are seeking a Director of Engineering and Operations, including the Purchasing and Inventory departments, for a manufacturing company based in Boisbriand that specializes in the production of machines and pumps. This is a full-time position – 40 hours per week.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
• Supervise teams in engineering, operations, purchasing, and inventory to ensure the efficiency of design, assembly, and delivery processes that meet quality standards.
• Lead innovation projects and new product development in close collaboration with the R&D department.
• Optimize the supply chain by coordinating purchasing activities, negotiating with suppliers, and managing inventory to avoid shortages while minimizing costs.
• Establish and monitor operational budgets for the departments under your responsibility, and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness.
• Plan for the long-term and manage investments for expansion projects.
• Mentor and develop talent within the teams by ensuring continuous training and supporting their professional growth.
• Collaborate with commercial departments in other provinces to ensure production timelines meet customer needs and sales targets are achieved.
• Participate in executive committees and contribute to the development of the company’s overall strategy.
Your profile
Your Professional Skills :
• Excellent command of industrial processes, with in-depth knowledge of purchasing and inventory management.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven experience in managing complex projects, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
• Proficiency in production management tools (SAP) is an asset.
• Ability to effectively negotiate with suppliers and optimize the supply chain.
• Solid understanding of safety and quality standards in a production environment.
Your Profile :
• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or equivalent).
• Active member of the OIQ with the title of Engineer.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong operational component.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Bilingualism (French and English) required.
• Salary: $100k - $120k depending on experience + 20% Bonus.
