Mission
Position Overview
I am currently recruiting for my client, located in Montréal-Est, a Quality Coordinator for a temporary 12-month position. This role involves night shifts (3x12h, from Wednesday night to Saturday morning), and the successful candidate will ensure the adherence to quality standards and processes across the production line.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include:
-Ensuring compliance with quality standards throughout the production process
-Performing physical and chemical tests on products and providing corrective instructions to production teams
-Preparing and dispatching certificates of compliance to clients
-Starting and adjusting necessary process systems
-Maintaining and calibrating measurement and testing instruments
-Taking corrective actions related to product quality and conformity
-Acting as the supervisor in their absence
-Assisting the supervisor in managing production operations
-Supervising the production team during the supervisor’s absence (short- or long-term)
-Conducting research and development activities to improve product quality/efficiency and prevent non-conformities
-Compiling and analyzing statistical quality data and recommending appropriate corrective actions
-Collaborating with the supervisory team to resolve manufacturing or quality issues
-Supervising the quality inspector and keeping them informed about new standards, customer requirements, and evaluation criteria
-Preparing and delivering training sessions to factory employees regarding process and quality standards
-Investigating customer complaints and addressing issues
-Performing internal audits to assess processes and, where necessary, implementing corrective measures.

We are looking for a candidate with hands-on experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment, capable of applying their technical knowledge to ensure process compliance and continuous improvement.
Your Profile
-Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
-French-speaking profile (no need for bilingualism)
-DEC in Quality, Metallurgy, or a related field
-Experience in quality management systems (ISO, HACCP, etc.)
-Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis
-Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards
-Experience in supervising teams, an asset
-Compensation
$38.50 per hour
Temporary contract (12 months), 36 hours per week (3x12h night shifts)
